The feeling-based domain – an area of cognition in which a person perceives and interprets reality through emotions, impulses, and stimuli coming from both the external environment and within themselves.
Our experiences are referred to as:
- intuition,
- the energy we feel when entering a space,
- inner dialogue,
- creativity,
- a refined sense of beauty,
- multitasking,
- multi-threaded thinking,
- sensitivity to others,
- tension or calm in the body,
- an impulse to act,
- spontaneous reactions,
- the emotional perception of situations.
In the feeling-based domain, intensity is key. It can lead both to high sensitivity, creativity, and strong intuition, as well as to distractibility, forgetfulness, impulsivity, difficulties in maintaining long-term focus, excess energy, or a sense of inertia in action.
Empaty and Counter-Empathy
The concept of empathy falls within this domain. During my analysis, I noticed the lack of a commonly used, unambiguous opposite for this term; therefore, I am introducing COUNTER-EMPATHY (ANTI-EMPATHY) as a concept within this theory.
Empathy
The ability to understand and share the feelings of others.
Counter-empathy (anti-empathy)
The absence of shared feeling, involving the conscious or unconscious rejection of other people's emotions.
